A cleaning service work order is used to gather cleaning preferences from home or commercial property owners before a cleaning job begins. It’s recommended to offer two types of cleaning service work orders, one for residential properties and the other for commercial.

Cleaning Service Work Order Details

Whether it’s a home or commercial property, a work order should entail all possible areas of a property that can be cleaned.

House (Residential) Cleaning

A house cleaning work order should offer all the normal things found in a home, although it should not include services that the cleaning company does not offer. A cleaning service work order will generally include the following to be cleaned:

  • Carpets
  • Pool
  • Windows
  • Couches
  • Drains
  • Upholstery
  • Laundry (including bed sheets)
  • Floors

Commercial Cleaning

Commercial cleaning is performed on everything except homes, which can include office buildings, retail stores, and industrial buildings. A commercial cleaning work order will differ greatly from residential, as it will not offer cleaning on items such as beds and common things found in a home. When using a commercial invoice, only include services that are offered by your company. Common commercial cleaning services may include:

  • Restroom cleaning
  • Cleaning floors (polishing and waxing)
  • Cleaning stairs and elevators
  • Cleaning of reception areas
  • Vacuuming rugs, carpets, and upholstery
  • Windows (inside)
